ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A1, A3 and A4 seeking to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.54 of 2012 on the file of V Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge for trial of cases under SCs & STs (POA) Act, Karimnagar, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 324, 506 r/w 149 IPC and u/s.3(1)(x) of SCs & STs (POA) Act, 1989, against them.

2. It is alleged in the charge sheet that due to previous grudges, all the accused came to the house of the de facto complainant, attacked him and his family members, abused them in filthy language in the name of their caste, beat them with sticks and threatened them with dire consequences, thereby they sustained bleeding injuries. Based on the complaint, a case in Cr.No.141 of 2011 u/s 147, 324, 506 r/w 149 IPC and u/s.3(1)(x) of SCs & STs (POA) Act, 1989, was registered against the accused.

3. Heard and perused the material on record.

4. In view of the serious allegations made in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners confined his argument to the extent that the presence of the petitioners/A1, A3 and A4 before the trial Court may be dispensed with. In view of the same, the presence of the petitioners/A1, A3 and A4 before the trial Court is dispensed with except on the dates whenever their presence is insisted by the trial Court and they shall be represented by their counsel.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed

of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
