THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION NO.281 of 2014 ORDER: (per Hon'ble The Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) This petition is filed alleging inaction on the part of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in removing the illegal encroachment so that the project for widening the road could be completed.

Today, the matter is taken up for hearing and we are informed by the Municipal Corporation that action has been taken in accordance with law for removal of the encroachment by issuing notice. However, this action has been challenged by the unofficial respondents before a learned Single Judge by filing W.P.No.1018 of 2015 in which interim relief has been granted. In the circumstances, we feel that no order need be passed by this Court as of now as the very purpose of filing this matter has been achieved as the Corporation has already taken action. However, we feel that the Corporation authorities shall take steps in accordance with law so that W.P.No.1018 of 2015 can be disposed of immediately. Similar liberty is also given to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law, as may be advised.

The public interest litigation is accordingly disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
