HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.15493 of 2015 ORDER:

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "... to issue a writ, order or direction and more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondent herein in not correcting petitioner's date of birch as 03.01.1981 instead of 24.02.1975 in the petitioner's passport bearing No.A-2879109 as illegal and arbitrary against the principles of natural justice."

During the course of hearing, the learned Assistant Solicitor General placed on record the instructions issued by the Regional Passport Officer, dated 04.12.2018. The same are made part of the record.

From a perusal of the said instructions, it is evident that the petitioner through letter dated 26.05.2017 requested the respondent office to issue the passport with the same date of birth as in the old passport. As per the request of the petitioner, a passport bearing No.R0633144 dated 07.06.2017 valid up to 06.06.2027 with the same date of birth has been issued. In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. _____________________ P. KESHAVA RAO, J Date: 04.12.2018.
