Challenge in this Writ Petition is to the notice dated 05.02.2019 issued by the Tahsildar, Narsapur Mandal, Medak District, proposing to resume the land assigned to the petitioners, being an extent of Ac.1-10 guntas each in Sy.No.114 of Narsapuram Village, as it was required for a public purpose.

The petitioners admittedly submitted their explanation in response to the aforestated notice on 16.02.2019 and the endorsement made thereon evidences the receipt of the said explanation by the office of the Tahsildar.

Sri S. Ganesh Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners, fairly concedes that no resumption order has been passed as on date. It is not his case that the Tahsildar lacks jurisdiction to issue the impugned notice dated 05.02.2019. As the impugned notice is in the nature of a show cause notice and the petitioners have already submitted their explanation in response thereto, no case is made out for interference by this Court at this stage.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, State of Telangana, appearing for the respondents, would assure this Court that the authorities would follow the due procedure laid down by law if they seek to resume the assigned land from the petitioners. In the light of the aforestated assurance, no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition, which appears to be more of a pre-emptive move based on apprehensions.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
