The petitioners seek writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents in deducting the crop insurance premium from the crop loans of the petitioners at the rate of 1% to 12% towards crop insurance premium for the Kharif and Rabi seasons for the years 2009-2010, as illegal and arbitrary and declare the same as optional but not compulsory.

No representation for the petitioners. The relief sought for is in respect of the crop period of 2009-2010, which was over long back and the writ petition became infructuous.
