THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. SUNIL CHOWDARY CIVIL REVISION PETITION No.2819 OF 2017 ORDER:

This petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India assailing the inaction on the part of the Senior Civil Judge, Gudur in disposing of LAOP No.40 of 1990.

Heard the learned counsel for both parties.

A perusal of the record reveals that the Land Acquisition Officer referred the matter to the Senior Civil Judge's Court, Gudur under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act. For one reason or the other, the matter is pending since 1990.

At the time of arguments, the only relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner is to direct the learned Senior Civil Judge, Gudur to dispose of the LAOP No.40 of 1990 as expeditiously as possible.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this court is not inclined to go into the merits of the main case.

Accordingly this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of, directing the learned Senior Civil Judge, Gudur to dispose of LAOP No.40 of 1990 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Civil Revision Petition, shall stand closed.
