Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.3 and 4 in not taking any action, pursuant to the complaint dated 16.05.2017 and registering FIR, as illegal and arbitrary.

At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Government Pleader that a case in Crime No.55 of 2017 of Tirupati Urban Police Station, dated 06.07.2017, came to be registered for an offence punishable under Section 3(1) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, basing on the report given by the petitioner. 4.
