Heard.

This Writ Petition is filed alleging that contrary to the scheme of providing reservation to local Scheduled Tribes in the existing posts of Junior Panchayat Secretary Grade-IV sanctioned for the scheduled areas, the respondents are considering the non-locals also.

Similar issue has come up for consideration before this Court in W.P.No.47075 of 2018 & batch. When the said writ petitions were taken up for consideration, the learned Special Government Pleader representing the Government placed before the Court, the Memo dated 12.02.2019 wherein the Government has categorically asserted that only the local Scheduled Tribes would be considered for recruitment to the post of Junior Panchayat Secretary Grade-IV in the scheduled areas. Recording the said statement made on behalf of the Government, the said writ petitions were disposed of.

In view of the statement made on behalf of the Government in W.P.No.475075 of 2018 & batch and the memo dated 12.02.2019 issued by the Government, the apprehension expressed by the petitioner does not survive and the writ petition is accordingly dismissed taking due note of the Government Memo dated 12.02.2019.
