HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.550 of 2016 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioner/A1 seeks to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.551 of 2012 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate at Kodad, Nalgonda District, which was registered against him for the offence under Section 498A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2) When the matter came up for hearing, learned Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 15.02.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, Nadigudem, Nalgonda District and submitted that the case was ended in acquittal on 11.10.2017 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.1652 of 2017 (Old C.C.No.551 of 2012) has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

3) There is no representation for petitioner.

4) In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
