THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.34655 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner was that the police authorities were harassing him and interfering with his life and liberty. The Sub-Inspector of Police, Epurupalem Police Station, Prakasam District, filed a counter-affidavit denying the petitioner's allegation that the police authorities interfered with his life and liberty and harassed him. He referred to the fact that the petitioner's mother-in-law was involved in a criminal case which was pending on the file of Singarayakonda Police Station, Prakasam District, and categorically stated that there was no evidence of the petitioner's involvement in any criminal case. He therefore asserted that as the petitioner was neither an accused nor a suspect, the question of calling him or investigating any case against him did not arise. He further stated that the petitioner's mother-in-law had been released after she was bound over before the Tahsildar concerned and therefore there was no case pending even against her as on date.

The afore-stated stand of the police authorities is duly taken on record. In the light thereof, no adjudication is warranted in this writ petition, which is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
