THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.10551 of 2011 ORDER:

The present writ petition is filed by Convenor of SC,ST,BC, Minority Mahila Aikya Vedika, declaring the inaction of the respondents in considering the representation of the petitioner members in allotting the sarkari vacant land, as arbitrary and illegal. The petitioner herein is a SC, ST, BC, Minority Mahila Aikya Vedika. It is stated in the affidavit that under the limits of Joharapuram Gram Panchyath, Kurnool Mandal and District, the SC, ST, BC and Mahila Minority Women were granted pattas in the land admeasuring Ac.06-00 cents situated in survey No.157 at Arundathi colony in the year 2003-2004, since then about 560 families are residing therein by raising huts. The petitioner association approached the respondents 1 to 3 and made several representations seeking regularization of land admeasuring Ac.06-00 cents in said survey number. Insofar as for the remaining Ac.05-00 cents of land is concerned, the petitioner approached the respondents 1 to 3 number of times seeking issuance of pattas in favour of landless women.

It is stated that M/s.Y.Surendranath Reddy and S.Chandra Mohan Reddy and others are trying to grab away the land on the pretext that they got registered sale deed documents in survey No.157 in collusion with the concerned officials. The petitioner members who are home-less are residing and having possession since six years and made representations dated 23-01-2011 and 07-02-2011 for granting pattas. The inaction of the respondents in dealing with the representations led to filing of the present writ petition.

As stated earlier, the only request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though the petitioner association

raised huts in the said land and made representations in the year 2011 for grant of house site pattas to its members, till date no orders are passed on the said petitions.

Without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of the representations made by the petitioner dated 23-01-2011 and 07-02-2011, if they are made and still pending, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the order, in accordance with law. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
