The prayer of the petitioners in this case reads as under: 'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in not mutating the petitioners name in the revenue records and not issuing pattadar passbooks in relation to the land to an extent of Ac.2.01 gts in Sy.No.807/4, 808/2, of the 1st Petitioner, Ac.2.00 gts in Sy.No.808/2, 809/AA of the 2nd petitioner and Ac.2.00 gts in Sy. No.

809/AA, 813/AA2, 813/AA/1, of the 3rd Petitioner situated in Ponugodu Village, Garidepalli Mandal respectively as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbook Act 1971 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to issue the pattadar passbooks to the petitioners and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.' Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioners submitted applications in the prescribed format in Form VI(A) under Section 4 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 read with Rule 18(2) of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Rules, 1989, along with the requisite fee seeking mutation of their names in the revenue records in relation to the subject land.

Having received such applications, it is not open to the Tahsildar, Garidepalli Mandal, Suryapet District, to remain somnolent.
