Yes/No HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.SUBHASH REDDY AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA WRIT PETITION No.26414 of 2015 ORDER : (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice R.Subhash Reddy) The petitioner, a student aspiring to get admission into MBBS/BDS courses, has filed this writ petition seeking directions to the respondents 2 and 3 to permit him to participate in the counseling to be held on 21.08.2015 and 22.08.2015 for admission into 'B' Category seats of MBBS/BDS Courses for the academic year 2015-16 without insisting to produce the Hall Ticket issued to him at the time of writing entrance examination.

For the purpose of admission into 'B' Category seats in Medical and Dental Courses, the 3rd respondent Association has conducted separate entrance test for the academic year 2015-16. The petitioner appeared for such test with Hall Ticket No.8053547 and secured rank of 1229. It is his grievance that after examination, he lost his hall ticket, but he is in

possession of original rank card. It is stated that as per the notification issued with regard to counseling for admission into 'B' Category seats of MBBS/BDS Courses, one of the conditions is to produce Hall Ticket and Rank Card of MCETAC-2015 at the time of counseling. As the Hall Ticket of the petitioner is stated to have been misplaced, it is his case that he will not be able to produce the same at the time of counseling, though he has secured fairly good rank of 1229 and has a fair chance of getting admission into 'B' Category. Sri P.Srinivasa Rao, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3, stated that the respondents 2 and 3 are providing link to download copies of Hall Tickets, as number of students have lost their Hall Tickets and there are complaints to that effect.

As the counseling is scheduled to be held on 21.08.2015 and 22.08.2015 and the petitioner is having original Rank Card, which contains Hall Ticket number, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to participate in the counseling and consider his case for admission into MBBS/BDS Courses, having regard to his rank and without insisting for production of original Hall Ticket. If the petitioner is able to access to have a copy of the Hall Ticket, he may produce the same at the time of counseling.

Subject to the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
