HONOURABLE SMT. JUSTICE T.RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITION No.1446 OF 2018 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed seeking grant of bail to the petitioners/accused Nos.1 and 2 in Sessions Case No.141 of 2017 on the file of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Vijayawada.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. Perused the record.

The case of the prosecution is that ganja was being transported at the instance of accused No.1 and accused No.2 is the person who procured the ganja by taking the amount. The ganja involved in this case is a commercial quantity, i.e., 583 kgs.

Hence, considering the fact that these petitioners are actively involved in transportation and importing of ganja, this Court opines that this is not a fit case for granting of bail to them.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel, the Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, stand closed.
