THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.23478 OF 2003 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in reducing the wages from Rs.102/- per day to Rs.94/- per day.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that this Court, while granting interim order on 24.08.2004, has given liberty to the petitioners to challenge the action of the respondents, if they are not paid the existing salary attached to their post, and in view of the same no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition.

In view of the above said submission, the cause in the writ petition does not survive and accordingly, it is closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioners to agitate their rights, if they are not considered for 'equal pay for equal work' in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
