THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T.AMARNATH GOUD W.P.NO.1823 OF 2014 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed, aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents for not taking any action on the complaints of the petitioner dated 17.04.2012, 19.08.2012, 15.10.2012 and 14.12.2012 on the allegation that some parts of his two auto rickshaws were committed theft and whereabouts of them were not known to him. Apart from conducting investigation and getting back the stolen goods, the respondents threatened him and also physically beat him in the police Station on the allegation that the complaint made is false.

The Public Information Officer and Inspector General of Police, South Coastal Zone, Guntur Range, Guntur, upon the application made by the petitioner under Right to Information Act, has specifically furnished the information by his communication dated 31.05.2013 as follows:- "Adverting to the references cited, I am to state that your earlier petitions filed before the Superintendent of Police, Guntur Rural District and to this office are enquired by the Superintendent of Police, Guntur Rural and he submitted a report stating that the allegations leveled against the S.I., of Police Sri K.Prabhakar Rao, Narasaraopet I-Town PS and his driver P.C. Ghouse (AR) and Homeguards Taj and Ravi are false since no evidence of corruption came forth as alleged by the applicant in his representation and proved to be false, hence there is no need to take any action against the concerned."

In view of the above information furnished by the Public Information Officer, this writ petition is devoid of merits as the petitioner has not challenged the appropriate proceedings; hence the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to seek appropriate legal remedies available to him under law. No order as to costs.
