ORDER : (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of Certiorari to quash the order dated 20.10.2009 in F.A.No.171 of 2007 on the file of A.P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad (for short "the State Commission"), confirming the order dated 25.11.2005 in C.C.No.80 of 2005 on the file of the District Consumer Forum at Adilabad (for short "the District Forum"). At the hearing, there is no representation for the petitioners. We have perused the record.

After taking the Rural Postal Life Insurance Policy (RPLI) (for short "the Insurance Policy") for an assured sum of Rs.25,000/- and paying the premium on 31.03.2003, the husband of respondent No.1 died on 28.05.2003 due to cardiac arrest and the Insurance Policy Book was received by respondent No.1 a day after the death of her husband i.e., on 29.05.2003. The petitioners repudiated the claim for payment of compensation on the ground that the communication of acceptance of the Insurance Policy was not conveyed to the assured. This action of the petitioners prompted respondent No.1 to file C.C.No.80 of 2005 before the District Forum. On consideration of the facts in their entirety, the District Forum has allowed the Consumer Case by order dated

25.11.2005. The said order was confirmed by the State Commission by the impugned order dated 20.10.2009 in F.A.No.171 of 2007. On a careful perusal of the reasons assigned in the impugned orders, we are of the opinion that the same do not suffer from any illegality warranting interference by this Court, in exercise of extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. No order as to costs.
