L. Satyanarayana v. The Commissioner For Prohibition And Excise,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.13396 of 2009 ORDER:
The grievance of the petitioner was that his Form-2B licence was not renewed for the excise year 2009-2010 owing to pendency of a criminal case.
By order dated 07.07.2009, this Court opined that the Andhra Pradesh Excise (Grant of Licence of Selling by Bar and Conditions of Licence) Rules, 2005, did not bar renewal of licence on the ground of pendency of proceedings initiated for suspension/cancellation of licence and directed the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for renewal within a timeframe. The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that pursuant to the afore-stated interim order, the licence of the petitioner was renewed for the excise year 2009-2010.
The grievance of the petitioner therefore stood settled pursuant to the implementation of the interim order itself. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs. ____________________ JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR 30th September, 2015 IBL
