HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE B. SIVA SANKARA RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.435 of 2014 ORDER :

This Criminal Petition is filed by the Petitioner/Accused under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.363 of 2013 of Jammikunta Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A of I.P.C and Sections 2 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

2) When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Public Prosecutor submitted that in the above crime, the police concerned filed a charge sheet after completion of the investigation and the learned Magistrate taken cognizance and hence, no cause survives for adjudication in this criminal petition and the same has become infructuous.

3) Having regard to the above, the proceedings questioning the F.I.R became infructuous without prejudice the rights of the petitioner for fresh remedy, if any, to impugne the taken cognizance of the final report filed by police by separate proceedings.

4) Accordingly, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
