THE HON'BLE DR JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION NO.1544 OF 2018 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/accused, seeking to quash the proceedings against him in D.V.C.No.8 of 2017 on the file of the Court of the Additional Judicial I Class Magistrate, Addanki.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/accused, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the first respondent-State and perused the record.

The nature of the proceedings pending in the DVC is civil in nature. Therefore, no day-to-day appearance of the petitioner is required by the respondents therein. In these circumstances, the Court below shall not insist for the appearance of the petitioner unless his appearance is required for some specific purpose. 4.
