THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.21256 of 2017 ORDER:

1) This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in issuing G.O.Ms.No.100 , Home (General-A.1) Department, dated 26.04.2013 by providing minimum and higher ticket admission prices for air-conditioned and aircooled theatres and in further notifying a price of only Rs.10/ - contrary to the recommendations made by the High Power Committee and also fixing a minimum percentage for such category of seats as illegal, arbitrary and un-constitutional.

2) When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Counsel for the petitioners that the issue involved in this Writ Petition has already been adjudicated by this Court in a batch of Writ Petitions viz., W.P.No.19046 of 2014 and batch, vide common order dated 31.10.2016, read with W.P.M.P.No.16343 of 2017 in W.P.No.18779 of 2014, dated 13.04.2017 and this matter is squarely covered by the said orders.

3) Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the common order dated 31.10.2016 in W.P.No.19046 of 2014 and batch read with the order in W.P.M.P.No.16343 of 2017 in W.P.No.18779 of 2014, dated 13.04.2017. There shall be no order as to costs.

4) As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
