ORDER

This writ petition is filed by a temporary dealer, who was appointed on 28.05.2008 in respect of fair price shop of Hussainpuram Village, Madakasira Mandal, Ananthapur District. Since 2008, no notification for appointment of permanent dealer was issued in respect of the said shop. A perusal of the order of appointment issued on 28.05.2008 shows that the permanent dealer stopped his dealership for one year by 2008. Even the petitioner also stopped his business from August 2014, and temporary arrangements are being made since August 2014 till date. The present writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to supply essential commodities to the petitioner for onward distribution to the card holders, but that relief cannot be granted after a period of one year.

In the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to issue the notification for filling up of the vacancy of fair price shop dealer of Hussainpuram Village, Madakasira Mandal, Ananthapur District and complete the process within three months from the date of receipt of this order. Till such time, existing arrangements shall continue. It is needless to say that the petitioner is entitled to apply as and when the notification issued by the 3rd respondent. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
