O R D E R
This writ petition was filed in the context of the failure of the mining authorities in issuing way bills to enable the petitioner to conduct his sand quarrying operations. Interim orders were granted by this Court on 12.07.2011 directing the mining
authorities to issue the way bills subject to compliance by the petitioner with certain conditions.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology pointed out that the lease granted to the petitioner was only till 31.03.2012 and therefore, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for consideration on merits. It appears that the petitioner was issued way bills pursuant to the interim orders granted in this writ petition during the subsistence of his lease period. The cause in the writ petition has therefore worked itself out. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
