This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Cr.P.C.'), is filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.63 of 2013 on the file of the Achanta police Station, West Godavari District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 144, 147, 323, 324, 307, 354, 382, 149 of I.P.C. and Sections 3 (i) (x) and 3 (ii) (v) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

During hearing, the learned Public Prosecutor for the State of Andhra Pradesh represented that the said crime was abated due to the death of the sole de facto complainant. In that view of the matter, the cause in the Criminal Petition does not survive for adjudication. Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand dismissed.
