This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, declaring the action of the respondents in withholding the payment for the bills submitted by the petitioner firm for a sum of Rs.13,78,024/- and not issuing work completion certificate to petitioner firm is totally arbitrary, illegal and in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to make payment of the bills for a sum of Rs.13,78,024/- and issue work completion certificate to the petitioner firm forthwith."

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.

In the present writ petition, in fact, for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner herein, petitioner submitted a representation to respondent No.2 on 18.12.2017. 4.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, no action has been taken so far on the said representation in accordance with the provisions of Section 8A of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. 5.

Since the said representation is pending consideration before respondent No.2, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondents to verify the representation, dated 18.12.2017, said to have been submitted

by the petitioner herein and pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending consideration, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
