THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.39387 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking to declare the action of the 1st respondent in registering the FIR against the petitioners in Crime No.580 of 2016, as illegal and arbitrary. The case of the petitioners is that the 2nd respondent lodged the present complaint alleging that the 2nd respondent married A-1 on 25.02.2011 at Ongole, Prakasam District and at the time of marriage, her parents paid dowry of Rs.1,50,000/- and extra amount of Rs.50,000/- and that A-1 along with his family members and the petitioners harassed the 2nd respondent physically and mentally for additional dowry. The main grievance of the petitioners is that the 2nd respondent has foisted a false case against the petitioners with an intention to harass the petitioners.

Considering the grievance of the petitioners, the 1st respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.580 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ RAJA ELANGO,J Date: 16th November, 2016 KL
