08.04.2024 Dr.GRR, J I.A.No.1 of 2024 In Crl.P.No.2291 of 2024 This application is filed by the petitioner - accused to extend the time to 4 weeks for him to surrender before the trial court by modifying the order dated 01.03.2024 passed by this Court in Crl.P.No.2291 of 2024. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after granting bail by this Court, the respondent Police filed some more cases against the petitioner. As such, the petitioner could not surrender before the trial court within the stipulated period. The said period was completed by 15.03.2024. But the police were hunting on each and every day and were following the petitioner before the trial court as well as at the house of the petitioner. As such, the petitioner was unable to avail the orders and prayed to modify the order.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor though sought time for obtaining instructions, had not objected for the same.

Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and for the reasons stated by him and as the surety bonds were also obtained by them, it is considered fit to extend the time to surrender before the
