This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 'Cr.P.C.'), is filed by the petitioners/ A.2 and A.3 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.158 of 2019 of Uppal Police Station, Rachakonda District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A I.P.C., and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.2 and A.3 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent-State. Perused the record.

As seen from the record, there are specific allegations of demand of additional dowry etc. Therefore, it cannot be said that continuation of proceedings against these petitioners/ A.2 and A.3 are abuse of process of law. The petition is devoid of merit and is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
