Heard Sri S.Madan Mohan Rao for petitioner and the Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

The petitioner aggrieved by the order under Section 6 of the Land Encroachment Act filed appeal before the 2nd respondent along an application for grant of stay of the order, dated 21.06.2017. The primary reason for filing the writ petition is that the stay application filed by the petitioner is not taken up and the time granted by order dated 21.06.2017 expired and there is threat of forcible dispossession of petitioner from the schedule of property. Prima facie, it appears, the reason for invoking the jurisdiction of this Court is tenable.

I am satisfied the writ petition can be disposed of by this order. The 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the stay application filed by the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The parties are directed to maintain status-quo as regards possession and enjoyment in respect of the subject matter of the writ petition for a period of eight weeks from today. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending, shall stand closed. ______________ S. V. BHATT, J Dt: 12-02-2018 Prv
