HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT Writ Petition No.22427 of 2015 PC: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) This Habeas Corpus petition is filed by one K. Venugopal, S/o. Kishan, seeking production of Smt. K. Srivani, who according to him, has been illegally detained by the third respondent.
Petitioner claims that he has married Smt. K. Srivani and after their marriage, they stayed together for some time and then the third respondent took her away and kept her in illegal detention. Learned Government Pleader has produced Smt. K. Srivani before the Court.
We have interacted with her and she said that she has not been illegally detained by the third respondent, who is her mother. She states that she would not like to go with the petitioner and would like to continue to live with her parents. The detenu is 25 years old and has done M.Tech. She states that she has gone through the petition and she has understood the allegation made by the petitioner against her parents. Despite all that, she is very firm and stated that she would not like to join the petitioner. In view thereof, nothing further survives in this petition. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
