This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 'Cr.P.C.'), is filed by the petitioner/ A.1 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.110 of 2019 of L.B.Nagar Police Station, Rachakonda District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A and 506 IPC and Section 3 (1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 2015.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.1 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent-State. Perused the record.

As seen from the record, there are allegations against the petitioner/ A.1 in the First Information Report to proceed with the investigation in respect of the said offences. Therefore, it cannot be said that continuation of proceedings against the petitioner/ A.1 in the aforesaid crime are abuse of process of law. At this stage learned counsel for the petitioner/ A.1 would submit that the matter may be referred to Lok Adalat for settlement. The criminal case can be compounded before the Criminal Court having jurisdiction, subject law applicable.

With these observations, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
