THE HONB'E SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.3574 OF 2017 ORDER:

The writ petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents for not receiving the property tax paid by the petitioner with respect to the house bearing No.2-175, Main Road, Jaggaiahpet, Krishna District under the Assessment No.1069001504.

Learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent Municipality, on instructions, submits that the property in question stands in the name of one Mr. Jalla Venkata Suryaprakasa Rao.

In those circumstances, refusal of the respondents to receive the property tax from the petitioner, cannot be found fault. However, it is made clear that the payment of property tax cannot be the sole criteria for deciding the title to the property in question. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
