O R D E R

This writ petition was filed assailing the action of the Station House Officer, Indukurpet police station, Nellore, in not providing police protection to the petitioner

and her land in Sy.No.392, Somarajupalli Village, Hindukurpet Mandal, Nellore District.

This writ petition was listed before the Court on four occasions during the year 2011 and the docket reflects that the learned counsel for the petitioner did not even choose to argue the matter. At this stage, a request is made for adjournment to enable the learned counsel to ascertain the present position. Perusal of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition does not even indicate the basis on which the petitioner seeks a direction to the police authorities to afford her police protection. There is no mention of any order being granted to her by a competent civil Court which warrants intervention by the police.

Given the totality of the above circumstances, this Court is of the opinion that this writ petition needs no consideration on merits and it is accordingly dismissed.
