This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 to quash the proceedings in Crime No.494 of 2018 of Bachupally Police Station, Cyberabad District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 506 read with 34 of IPC and Section 3(1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (PoA) Amendment Act, 2015 (for short 'the Act').

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1-State and perused the record.

Learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 would submit that there are no grounds to proceed with the investigation of this case and ultimately prayed to allow the petition. 4.
Learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the 1st respondent/ State opposed the grant of relief sought by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3.

As seen from the record, the allegations levelled against the petitioners/ A.1 to A.3 are constituting the offences enumerated above. Therefore, it cannot be said that the registration of FIR and continuation of investigation is an abuse of process of law. Under these circumstances, the petition does not merit consideration. 6.
Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand dismissed.
