THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.2209 OF 2012 ORDER:

This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 3 and 4 in taking steps to shift the Grampanchayat office building from the head quarters i.e. Pedaboddapadu Village, Vajrapukothuru Mandal of Srikakulam District to the hamlet village i.e. Sitapuram and also the inaction of the respondents 1 and 2 in taking action on the representations dated 31.10.2011 and 07.01.2012, as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents to take action to commence construction of Grampanchayat office building in the main village.

This Court on 31.01.2012 passed interim order directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 31.10.2011 and 07.01.2012 submitted by the petitioner.

Now counter affidavit is filed stating that in pursuance to the directions of this Court the representations of the petitioner were disposed of by the District Collector on 21.03.2012 and thereafter the construction of Gram Panchayat building was started and except finishing works the construction is almost completed. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and respondents. In view of the submissions made in the counter affidavit, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of in terms of the interim order passed by this Court on 31.01.2012. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
