This writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking to direct the official respondents to give promotion to them on par with unofficial respondents.

This writ petition was filed in the year 2004. When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that no interim directions were given by this Court earlier and that the petitioners have attained the age of superannuation. Therefore, at this point of time, the relief sought by the petitioners cannot be granted.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
