Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri R. Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Corporation Limited appearing for the respondents.

Petitioner claims that she obtained domestic power supply through the electricity connection bearing S.C.Nos.2222104868, 2222124970, 2222124968 and 2222124969 to the house situated in Survey No.171, Hunter Road, Shayampet, Warangal Urban District. This Writ Petition is filed alleging illegal disconnection of power supply without notice and opportunity, though the power supply stands in the name of the petitioner.

By order dated 14.03.2019, this Court directed the respondent - Company to restore the power supply, if there are no arrears payable on the subject power supply connections. Further, the Court noticed the contention of learned counsel for the petitioner that no notice was given to the petitioner before disconnecting the power supply.

Learned Standing Counsel, on instructions, fairly submits that no prior notice was given to the petitioner before disconnecting the power supply to her house.

Having regard to the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of declaring the disconnection of power supply as illegal. However, liberty is granted to the respondent - Company to take
- 3 - steps as warranted by law before disconnecting the power supply and the service connections, as mentioned above. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
