The petitioners in all these writ petitions are life convicts. They were released on parole.

All the petitioners submitted applications for extension of parole. Alleging that no decision is taken on the applications submitted by them for extension of parole, even though the period of parole granted has expired, these writ petitions are filed.

Learned Government Pleader for Home submits that the applications of the petitioners for extension of parole were considered and their request is rejected.

The counsel for the petitioners also did not deny the factum of rejection of the applications of the petitioners for extension of parole. 4.

Therefore, the cause in the writ petitions does not survive. The writ petitions are liable to be dismissed and are accordingly dismissed.

At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioner in WP.No.5783 of 2019 was required to surrender on 21.03.2019. However, this Court granted extension of parole till 01.04.2019. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner requests that two days time may granted to the petitioner to surrender before the Superintendent of Jail, Central Prison, Prisoner's Agricultural Colony, Cherlapalli.

Having regard to the peculiar facts of the case in WP.No.5783 of 2019, the request of the counsel for the petitioner is accepted and the petitioner is directed to surrender before the Superintendent of Jail, Central Jail, Prisoner's Agricultural Colony, Cherlapalli before 05.00 PM on 08.04.2019.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
