THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.14795 of 2007 ORDER:

The alleged inaction on the part of respondent Nos.1 and 2 in finalizing the enquiry with regard to the social status of the writ petitioner is under challenge in the present writ petition. When the matter is called today, an order passed by the Collector and District Magistrate, East Godavari District, Kakinada vide proceedings R.Dis.C6/M/380/2002, dated 24-04-2010 is placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare. By virtue of the said order, dated 2404-2010 the District Collector, pursuant to the report of the District Level Screening Committee confirmed the caste of the 4th respondent herein as 'Valmiki', a Scheduled Tribe. In view of the said development, nothing survives in the writ petition for adjudication.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
