Petitioners' grievance is that they purchased an extent of Ac.1.20 guntas in survey No.844/1 of Malkajgiri Village and Mandal of Ranga Reddy District from one D.Laxmi Narayana and the 1st petitioner submitted a representation dt.01.08.2013 to the 3rd respondent seeking mutation in favour of the petitioners, but till date no orders are passed by the 3rd respondent.
2. Counsel for the petitioners relies on several documents filed in the material papers in support of the petitioners' claim for mutation.
3. The Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents states that the competent authority to make mutation under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 (for short 'the act') is the 5th respondent; that the petitioners ought to make the application before the 5th respondent in Form 6A as prescribed under the above Act; and if such an application is made to the 5th respondent, the 5th respondent will pass orders thereon within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of the said application in accordance with law.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioners to file application under the provisions of the above Act in Form 6A seeking mutation in their favour in respect of the above land duly furnishing all the requisite information and supporting documents within two (02) weeks from today; and if such an application is made, the 5th respondent shall pass orders therein within six (06) weeks thereafter and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
5. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
