Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri A.Pandu Ranga Rao, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.2 and

3. At the request of both the counsel, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"Issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents and their staff in trying to dispossess and evict the petitioners from the property bearing Nos. 20-18-29/A and 20-18-29, Etukur Road, Guntur, Guntur District admeasuring 45 square yards by not following due process of law as illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the said property by the petitioners."

The grievance of the petitioners is that without giving any notice and without following due process of law, the second respondent officials are insisting the petitioners to vacate the property. Learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2 and 3 submits that the aforesaid land is required for the purpose of road widening and respondents 2 and 3 will follow due process of law either for evicting the petitioners or demolishing the structures raised therein.

Recording the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the

respondents not to take any coercive steps without following due process of law, for evicting the petitioners or demolishing the structures. No order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
