THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.12000 of 2012 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner was that the Station House Officer, Rural Police Station, Pithapuram, East Godavari District, was taking his photographs and obtaining his signatures on blank papers while making him sit in the police station for hours together and also opened a suspect sheet against him though he was not involved in any criminal activity.

Relying on the written instructions dated 23.09.2015 received from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Pithapuram Rural, East Godavari District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that the suspect sheet against the petitioner had been closed as there were no adverse remarks against him since 2007. Further, the criminal case in which he was involved, being Crime No.143 of 2006, also ended in his acquittal. The suspect sheet against the petitioner was stated to have been closed on 04.01.2015 by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Kakinada, East Godavari District. In the light of the afore-stated developments, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs. ____________________ JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR 29th September, 2015 IBL
