HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No.13214 OF 2010 ORDER:

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to declare the nomination of the 2nd respondent as Ward Committee No.121 Member of Kukatpally Municipality by the 1st respondent as arbitrary and illegal.

Sri Sampath Prabhakar Reddy, Learned Standing Counsel for the GHMC, would submit that the term of office of the members of the Ward Committee has already expired; and the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive.

As the term of office of the Ward member has already expired, it is evident that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The Writ Petition is, therefore, dismissed as infructuous. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
