THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.516 OF 2014 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners-accused Nos.4, 1 & 2 under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C.No.340 of 2007 on the file of the II Metropolitan Magistrate for Railways, Vijayawada, Krishna District.

When this matter has come up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Admittedly, no stay was granted by this Court. The above C.C. pertains to the year 2007. In the circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief in this petition. However, the presence of the petitioners before the trial Court is dispensed with except on the dates when their presence is required by the trial Court. The petitioners shall be represented in the above C.C. through their Counsel on all hearing dates. The trial Court is also directed to dispose of the above C.C., if it is pending, as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
