THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 4788 OF 2018 O R D E R:

This Writ Petition is filed complaining non-compliance of the order dated 13.06.2015 of the Lok Adalat Bench at Karimnagar in Case No. 254 of 2015, whereunder, the 4th respondent Special Deputy Collector, Land Acquisition, Karimnagar had consented to pay a sum of Rs.1,11,350/- and a further sum of Rs.22,270/- to the claimants numbering 5 (including the petitioner herein). In terms of the said Award, the amount has to be paid immediately thereafter. The petitioner therefore, seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to pay the compensation in terms of the settlement reached before the Lok Adalat.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition (Telangana) has placed on record the written instructions received from the 4th respondent. Various averments made in the writ affidavit have been admitted and finally, in para 5, it is stated that a sum of Rs.1,34,175/- is required to be paid with respect to the property acquired. The learned Government Pleader therefore, submits that, if four weeks' time is granted, the said amount of Rs.1,34,175/- will be paid.

In the light of the written instructions, since the grievance is simple in nature, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 4th respondent to pay the balance amount of Rs.1,34,175/- to the petitioner and other eligible claimants, if any within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Inasmuch as the Writ Petition is disposed of on the specific undertaking given by the

4th respondent, it is made clear that non-adherence thereto would attract the provisions under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and the 4th respondent will be liable to be taken to task. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications if any shall also stand closed.
