ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioner for appointment as Conductor/Shramik or in any suitable post, on compassionate grounds, as arbitrary and illegal. The father of the petitioner, who was working as Shramik in Koilakuntla Depot, died in harness on 12.07.2008, leaving behind him the petitioner and his mother as his legal heirs. Thereafter, the mother of the petitioner made an application to the respondent-Corporation for providing her employment on compassionate grounds. But her case was not considered as there was ban in the scheme. After passing X class and ITI, the petitioner applied for the post of Conductor/Shramik, but his case was rejected on the ground that he did not attain the age of 21 years and the respondent-Corporation directed him to apply for Additional Monetary Benefit of Rs.1,00,000/-. Presently, the petitioner is working as ITI apprentice in the 3rd respondent-Depot. As the

petitioner has no interest in receiving the Additional Monetary Benefit, reiterating his request for appointment on compassionate grounds, he made a representation dated 10.3.2015 to the respondentCorporation and the same is pending. Under these circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-Corporation to consider the representation dated 10.3.2015 submitted by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate grounds and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law, subject to his eligibility in any suitable post such as Conductor/Shramik. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
