When this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed this writ petition seeking promotion to the post of Assistant Manager and this Hon'ble Court vide order dated 3.8.2005 issued an interim direction to the respondents to follow the rules framed in G.O.Ms.No.33, dated 26.5.1998 for filling up the posts of Assistant Managers, and in pursuance of the said interlocutory order, the case of the petitioner was considered and the petitioner was promoted.

In view of the above submission, this Court is of the view that the cause in this writ petition does not survive. 3.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
