Heard both sides.

The petitioner complains against the inaction of 3rd respondent in furnishing information sought by petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005.

The petitioner refers to and also relies upon communication Ref.No.R.T.I Act/160/12 dated 22.08.2012 to contend that the 2nd respondent to whom a request was made has forwarded the request to 3rd respondent and the 3rd respondent is not furnishing the details requested by the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition. The Assistant Government Pleader reports that his office has not received instructions in the matter.

This Court is of the view that the 2nd respondent had already called upon the 3rd respondent through letter dated 22.06.2012 to look into the request of petitioner and furnish necessary information under the Right to Information Act, 2005. If the 3rd respondent has not furnished the information as on date, the 3rd respondent is directed to furnish the information as directed in letter dated 22.06.2012 to petitioner within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Writ petition is disposed of as indicated above. No costs. Consequently, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, also stand disposed of.
