THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.23366 of 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed seeking to declare the inaction of respondents 2 and 3 in investigating and filing final report in crime No.245 of 2015 of Alipiri Police Station, Tirupathi Urban, Chittoor District, as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondents 1 to 3. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. Since this Court is not going into the merits of the case, there is no necessity to issue notice to R-4. The limited grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that though crime No.245 of 2015 was registered on 23.10.2015, the respondents-Police have not completed the investigation till date. Having regard to the facts in issue and since the crime is registered in the month of October, 2015, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents-Police to complete investigation and file a final report in crime No.245 of 2015, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
