Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

The petitioner is a tenant under 4th respondent and he is running a shop of Kids Garments and Accessories in the rented premises. It seems that a dispute arose between the petitioner and the 4th respondent on the issue of vacating the premises. The version of the petitioner is that being influenced by the 4th respondent, the official respondents disconnected the power supply to the petitioner's premises. According to the petitioner, as per the rental agreement, the petitioner can continue in the premises for more than ten years from the date of the agreement.

Having regard to the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the considered view that owing to the dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent, the official respondents ought not to have disconnected the power supply to the petitioner's premises. It is stated that there are no arrears of electricity charges to be paid by the petitioner. Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 to 3 to restore the power supply to the petitioner's premises forthwith provided there are no dues from the petitioner.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
